Education Philosophy

With a background in environmental and urban studies, I was set on a career involving environmental protection.  Growing up in suburban Toronto, we were blessed with a nice long yard.  Today, two lovely pear trees grace us with their tender white flowers in the spring and juicy pears in autumn.  Earth’s beauty must be treasured and perhaps the best way to ensure this is if we nurture in students a love for life, respect and that they can be a force of global good. I see educators as facilitators; supporting each student along their own unique learning journey.

Exploring the use of technology in education

The art of teaching has change greatly from the my days in training. Perhaps the greatest change of all has been seeing the impact technology has had on education. Here, I aim to share my efforts into integrating technology meaningfully into my teaching practice.
